General Electric Lead Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for all GE Life Care Solutions program/investment spend (annual budget of $225M).

The role will partner with the LCS Chief Technology Officer to establish new processes to track execution of the program spend (e.g. forecasting/reporting) and will support the LCS CFO/FP&A Leader in setting mid-term/long-term investment strategy. The role will require ability to learn quickly and be interacting with senior clients semi-frequently.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for all GE Life Care Solutions program/investment spend (annual budget of $225M). Define KPIs to measure the performance, analyze the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as needed.

Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

Communication skills to articulate financial performance and provide business insights to LCS finance team (e.g. CFO, FP&A Leader, etc.) and other senior leaders (e.g. LCS Chief Technology Officer)

Ability to build/create new processes that can be automated/repeatable and comfortable navigating financial/non-financial ERPs

Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in Finance

Demonstrated ability to work in team-environment

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

The salary range for this position is $79,360-$119,040. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
