Role Summary/Purpose

An enrolled student at an educational institution, working on a project or a specific assignment at GE to fulfill academic requirement or to gain practical training and is recruited into GE as an intern with the intention of converting him/her into a full time hire for leadership program or an entry level position.

Essential Responsibilities

In the GE Healthcare digital site, you will join the Advanced Visualization team.

Your mission : Discover CSS and LESS mixins and advanced styling design to build responsive designs for small or large screen with existing code. Compare techniques, gains, issues. Review existing techniques with its benefits and issues too.

Rapidly build modern websites without ever leaving your HTML

Using Imaging Fabric from AV. Medical development software built by GE to simplify the creation of medical applications.

  • Work with Teams, Architects, Tech Experts

  • Study and review the state of the art: CSS3 / LESS/ SASS ; Tailwind CSS - Rapidly build modern websites without ever leaving your HTML. ( ;

  • Use of our libraries; and develop responsive code for Imaging Fabric taking advantage either the described techniques.

  • Define the code insertion strategy from a test application (application decoration; lite-viewer) and how to couple it with GE Styling library

  • Code, test (complexity testing), compare results.

  • Extract benefits and risks from data

Qualifications / Requirements

Candidate profile:

  • Engineering school

  • Initiative, proactive, able to work independently with minimal guidelines, rigorous, dynamic, tenacious, able to report

  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence

  • Fluent English

  • Knowledge of a development language required

  • Knowledge of web technologies is a plus

  • Knowledge of Web Deployment is a plus npm

  • Environment: stack involved HTML5, ES6, TS, Git, WebAPI

Estimated Duration of the internship: 4-6 months

Desired start: 2022
