Job Description Summary
The Global Transparency & Data Analytics Leader is responsible for developing and executing GE Healthcare’s global transparency reporting program to ensure compliance with transparency requirements around the world as well as leading compliance data analytics and other data-driven compliance initiatives. This individual will lead a team of professionals accountable for executing on deliverables with global impact to the enterprise, in partnership with regional compliance, global business leaders and other key stakeholders.
Subject matter expertise and leadership: Serve as GEHC’s subject matter expert on transparency reporting requirements worldwide. Stay informed about external developments on transparency requirements and related enforcement. Take a lead role with respect to external advocacy on transparency related issues with regulatory agencies and industry associations. Interpret transparency laws and regulations for their applicability and impact to GE Healthcare.
Strategy and roadmap: Develop and execute a global strategy to comply with 80+ transparency requirements worldwide, including but not limited to requirements in the US (Sunshine/Open Payments, state requirements), Europe (e.g., French Sunshine, EFPIA, MedTech), Asia and Latin America. Develop and maintain assumptions documents and SOPs to ensure completeness, accuracy of reports. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including global and regional compliance and legal, controllership, sourcing, and business operations to execute deliverables.
People leadership: Lead and manage a team executing transparency activities worldwide, including collecting, consolidating, analyzing and submitting data to meet transparency requirements. Develop a team that is capable of working across multiple priority areas and meet tight timelines.
Data analytics: Provide analysis on transparency trends and related data to provide insight into business interactions with healthcare professionals.
Monitoring & audit: Support monitoring and auditing roadmaps and work activities. Collaborate with the monitoring and auditing regional leaders to identify transparency-related trends that inform monitoring and audit priorities.
Process improvement: Recommend enhancements to global and regional compliance programs based on observations and learnings from transparency reporting activities. Make recommendations specific to policies/procedures, training/communications, systems enhancements, and changes to control structures.
Bachelor’s degree, J.D./Masters degree preferred but not required.
A minimum of seven years of professional experience in transparency and data analytics related work in the life sciences industry, compliance, law, internal audit, controllership, or related field.
Strong leadership with experience of managing and supporting a globally distributed team.
Word, Power Point and Excel skills are required.
Professional fluency in English is required.
Law degree, post-graduate degree in business or another relevant field, or a financial/controllership background.
Knowledge of key laws/regulations (e.g., FCPA and other global anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws/regulations, AKS/FCA) and/or core GEHC compliance processes, policies/procedures, tools, and controls.
Lean or Six Sigma experience.
Proven ability to digest large amounts of information and distill it into the essential elements.
Self-motivated with ability to handle a large and varied caseload simultaneously, to multitask, and to work independently with minimal supervision.
Highest personal integrity with demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and respectful manner that inspires trust.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with proven ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, and discuss findings and recommendations at a senior level and produce clear and compelling report.
