General Electric Director, Strategic & Global Alliances in Chicago, Illinois

Role Summary:This role works closely with the various GEHC Business Unit Leaders to develop and lead strategy, business and technology modeling, project and program management, alliances agreement negotiation, and execution for top assigned strategic technology alliances. Preferred work locations are Chicago,IL Seattle, WA or San Ramon, CA or Remote.

Essential Responsibilities:The success of these alliances will be measured by the positive alliance impact and engagement with product development and associated investment, go to market engagement and investment, and product/solution revenue associated with the alliance.

This role will be responsible for supporting business-wide strategic alliance imperatives by creating, developing, and driving relationships while helping to create joint improvements in product innovation, go to market, sales and technology optimizations.

This role will also include management of special partner related projects and leading collaborative and joint initiatives with and through key alliances.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing new and existing and long term technology strategies with alliances to optimize GTM and Technical relationships, marketing opportunities, and joint sales opportunities.

Coordinating joint marketing plans and strategies to promote and communicate value to global market and specific customer communities.

  1. Leading initiatives with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Services organizations to conceive, design and execute high impact joint alliances collaborations which advance or accelerate key GEHC strategies and execution activities.

  2. Collaborating with GEHC Product Management and Engineering in conjunction with Alliance Subject Matter experts to implement joint technology collaboration and joint technical initiatives.

  3. Designing and negotiating collaborative agreements to formalize joint initiatives and to create appropriate governance.

  4. Tracking and reporting Alliance results and metrics for Alliances Council quarterly reviews.

  5. Serving as the strategic alliance liaison to all GEHC constituents including Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, and Sales teams.

  6. Managing all Executive Business Reviews between GEHC and the respective Alliance

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in technology discipline or business, and MBA preferred

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic alliance, business development, marketing, or roles in healthcare technology or technology industries

  2. Strong business development, project management, time management, and organizational skills

  3. Ability to effectively work in a team environment as well as independently

  4. Strong understanding of healthcare industry, product development, and competitive strategy techniques

  5. Ability to work with customers and vendors on both a business and technical level

  6. Experience in financial analysis, business case development, and financial modeling

  7. Well-developed presentation and communication skills, including the ability to effectively deliver presentations to C-level executives in both GEHC and assigned Alliance.

  8. Travel is required up to 50-60%; including international.

Desired Characteristics:1. MBA preferred

  1. Knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred

  2. Prior business development, alliances management or consulting experiences preferred

  3. Association of Strategic Alliance Professional Certification (CA-AM or CSAP) preferred
