As the Director, Engagement Planning you'll be primarily responsible for managing the communications and content strategies for our priority, persona-based targets. This role will report to the Director of Engagement Strategy as part of the overall Target Engagement team in the U.S. and Canada Region (USCAN). Leveraging personas, behavioral segmentation, journey maps and extensive omnichannel understanding, this planner will develop the roadmap to engage audiences and achieve desired outcomes. This role will be instrumental in reimagining how GE Healthcare communicates and connects effectively with its customers today.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Become a subject matter expert in priority personas in order to craft a compelling communications and content strategy

  • Leverage data, research and segmentation to define insights that fuel development of strong engagement strategies

  • Work with marketers to define the marketing objective, target audience, key message and KPIs for a campaign or program

  • Create insightful creative briefs that effectively connect customer needs with product benefits

  • Create evergreen content strategy to ensure strong customer engagement throughout the buying process

  • Work with internal creative team and external agencies to ensure all creative output is grounded in approved strategy

  • Serve as the “target steward,” working with the Voice of Customer team to conduct research and analyze customer data to ensure the broader marketing team is clear on customer needs and desires; act as a source of information, insights and inspiration on best practices to connect effectively with audiences

  • Collaborate across USCAN teams to inform insightful and robust content plans, connecting products, services and claims with customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in a marcom or agency planning/strategy role, with familiarity developing plans that leverage some of the following marketing strategies and tactics: in-person and virtual events, e-commerce, marketing automation/email campaigns, website experience design and deployment, SEO/SEM, paid media, video and editorial content, social content and community management, etc

  • Extensive understanding of channel engagement strategies, including how to leverage journey mapping to identify the multi-channel communications strategy that will bring GE Healthcare closer to its customers

  • Experience with content strategy and creative, with the ability to inspire teams to develop content appropriate for a target audience

  • Expertise in brand communications that tell inspiring and engaging stories, including an understanding of how to guide communications within brand guidelines and positively building the brand

  • Analytical skills balanced with creative problem-solving: ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives, see and communicate strategic options, and make the complex simple

  • Strong written and spoken communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for working as a team but more importantly, proactive and self-directing

  • A can-do attitude and constant habit of going above and beyond what is required, as well as a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at an advertising agency, marketing firm, or internal marketing department in an account planner, content strategy, or customer engagement role

  • Experience working with Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet

  • Willingness to work flexible hours

  • Healthcare product/industry acumen
