General Electric Channel Sales Marketing Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description Summary

This position is accountable for the co-development and execution of integrated marketing programs for the Inside & Indirect sales teams under the leadership of the Sales Channel Engagement Sr. Director. This role will effectively collaborate with marketing and virtual sales to execute marketing programs while championing outcomes aligned to longer term marketing priorities. This role is responsible for aligning cross functional teams to develop and execute persona-based demand generation campaigns via the virtual sales team.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and support marketing strategy specific to the Inside & Indirect Sales teams

  • Develop solid understanding of and incorporate all facets of new product/service introductions, sales tools, market, competitive & customer insights in customer campaigns specific to account packages managed by Inside & Indirect Sales team

  • Work cross functionally with solution & segment marketing and target engagement to develop and execute content marketing strategies to deliver customer connections through sales channels and nurture campaigns

  • Develop and execute cohesive omnichannel marketing programs to drive sales funnel velocity and growth

  • Develop, plan, execute and optimize annual and quarterly marketing plans for your assigned sales teams that align to overarching marketing goals

  • Develop deep knowledge of customer journey, personas, and behaviors to lead and execute effective sales enablement programs

  • Measure the impact of marketing programs on sales channel performance (visibility, win rate, share, orders, revenue, CM, funnel growth, etc.) and adjust marketing strategies accordingly

  • Lead marketing communication with inside and distributor partners to ensure consistency, relevancy of message, and timeliness; gather voice of field and tailor programs accordingly


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing

  • Demonstrated experience with creating and executing marketing campaigns

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated experience with the establishment of customer segment sales messaging

  • Based in the greater Chicago area

  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing or related field

  • Demonstrated experience with content development, value proposition creation, digital and website marketing, and sales training

  • Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and process skills
