Job Description Summary
GE Power Conversion is seeking to hire Staff Enterprise Application Engineer - Integrations. The position will be responsible for delivering and maintaining interfaces between SAP ECC and Non-SAP systems that combine business processes with SAP development tools.
This position will require managing technical support team deliverables tied to support and maintenance of existing system platform along with interfaces and application functionality. The individual will be involved in all phases of the enhancement and project life cycle implementation associated to the interface builds, blueprinting, mapping, prototype, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and hyper care.
This position requires thorough understanding of SAP PO migration scenarios. Drive future projects, initiatives to improvise and enhance the current integration landscape. Analyse and implement new age connectors and cloud-based tools to cater to future requirements.
Job Description
Technical Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing the technical expertise and solutions related to integration of SAP ECC and all internal/external applications.
Responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of all Integration patterns – application, electronic data interchange (EDI), data & process integration proxies.
Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration
Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
Manage PI/PO integration technologies in the following areas: Service Repository and Integration Directory; Data mappings, XSLT mappings, EDI and XML communications, Proxies, interface definitions, and XSDs; Configuration and implementation of PI/PO adapter types (IDoc, RFC, JDBC, File, SOAP, WS, JMS, HTTP, REST and Proxy); configuration, design, development, message monitoring; adapter logs, adapter engine status, communication channels.
Manage and maintain ABAP enhancements, ABAP Proxies, RFC, IDOC, CXML, ALE configuration, Partner profiles, Ports, Enhancements, error processing, troubleshooting with respect to interfaces.
Configure and manage the System Landscape Directory (SLD) configuration settings.
Manage the JAVA, SAP NetWeaver JAVA Platform administration and support and provide on-call support, as needed
Lead SAP PI/PO platform migration and upgrades.
Review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards
Functional Responsibilities:
Manage cross system integration SAP landscape that supports core business functions in accordance with SAP ECC and industry best practices.
Develop technical design, estimate, development, testing, documentation, and implementation activities for all active/new interfaces.
Determine system integration requirements based on business requirements.
Responsible for quality, management and maintenance of Integration templates, standards, documents, and repository throughout the project and later.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
7 Years of hands-on experience in SAP PI / PO with at least 1 project involving brownfield SAP PI/PO AWS migration
Desired Characteristics
Experience in Cloud platform integrator (CPI), Cloud-connectors and other cloud Integration platforms will be added advantage.
Knowledge in Business technology platform and non-SAP Integration platforms
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and analyse system deficiencies
Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes from the customer's viewpoint
