General Electric Sales & Proposal Specialist in Chennai, India

Role Summary:This Position has a key role in Renewable Hybrids by developing the value proposition for potential customers. Hybrids is defined as a combination of multiple renewable technologies, such as wind, solar, storage (battery/ hydro). The value assessment is the first step for sales origination of such opportunities. This role incorporates a mix of technical & commercial skillset to formulate a win-win solution for customers and GE.

Essential Responsibilities:• Develop techno - economic analysis for Hybrids farms globally, including a combination of wind, solar, storage (battery and hydro)

• Develop energy resource assessment for hybrid generation assets, including wind and solar

• Create optimal layout for Hybrids Farm, including energy loss assessment, curtailment analysis, and shadow analysis (for wind + solar)

• Administer industry-wide siting tools to perform hybrids resource assessment (such as PVSyst, Google Sketch up, Homer, WindPRO, AIMMS, R/ Python)

• Clearly articulate value assessment results to external customers and internal stakeholders (such as sales leaders, product line and engineering)

• Evaluate multiple hybrid configurations to maximize the economic benefit to the customer and position GE Renewable Energy to win profitably

• Collaborate with Sales team to gather required customer inputs for the project specific use case

• Collaborate with Engineering team to ensure technical feasibility of target economic solution

• Drive special projects to improve value analysis process and/ or tools

• Develop pricing strategy to support commercial proposal

• Other assigned tasks as deemed necessary by leadership to help launch the hybrids business in a dynamic and entrepreneurial way

Qualifications/Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/ or energy management

• 3+ years of experience in some combination of wind, solar, energy storage

• Proven analytical skills for responsibilities identified above

• Experience and knowledge of renewable energy products and industry landscape

• Strong global mindset and acumen

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required (at all levels)

• Prior experience in grid management/ energy management systems

• Ability to code in statistical analysis tools, such as R/ Python

• Ability run project finance proforma
