Roles and Responsibilities

We are excited to share that we have an opportunity for two Human Resources Graduates to join our UK HR team in either Cheltenham or our Dowty business in Gloucester. This is a new opportunity whereby we invite applicants to apply for a 3-year development programme. By applying for this role, you will also be supported through the Senior People Professional Level 7 apprenticeship which is equivalent to a master's degree.

The apprenticeship funding rules mean that you will need to have 20% of your time "off the job," this is not quite as transactional as one day a week out of the office. Your Line Manager & institution will support you to ensure you meet the requirements for this learning.

During this programme, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations/engagement and learning and development. You could be working alongside our HR Operations Centre of Excellence, supporting with performance reviews, absent management disciplinary and grievance meetings, helping to implement HR policies and procedures and working on various simplification projects.

You will either be based at our Cheltenham or Dowty site in Gloucester.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Successfully obtained or be on track to complete your Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field

  • Completion of a 12 month Placement year at GE is highly advantagous

  • Passionate about Human Resources
