Role Summary:

Works with Sales, Product Group, Engineering Technical Leads and Contracts to ensure the ITO process is executed in a timely manner and successfully deliver on-time proposals to the Customer while ensuring compliance with process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and recommend to the business, proposal structures that balance the need of customer and multiple GE functional stakeholders

  • Take ownership for proposal activities; lead functional stakeholders to execute winning proposals on time to customer

  • Embody and contribute to the continuous development of best practice proposal process and simplification effortsLead all proposal activities ensuring compliance with 650.10 policy, ITO and associated procedures

  • Provide backup for Product Sales and Technical Lead

  • Effectively manage proposal bid preparation across all required activities, obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, and ensuring a full proposal package is developed and delivered in accordance with Customer requirements

  • Support management of proposal development (B&P) expenditure as required

  • Co­ordinate pricing activities for the proposal

  • Support generation of the Opportunity business case with Sales and Product Group Support Growth

  • Playbook generation along with Product and System Roadmaps

  • Manage complex cross functional relationships within the Matrix to help balance multiple stakeholder requirements Engage with Sales and Product Group to help define campaign and product strategies

  • Support post proposal activities, supporting Customer meetings or negotiations as required


  • Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or similar level of knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a commercial; technical or marketing position

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrable experience in capture/campaign management and proposal writing

  • Interested in Aerospace market place and customer dynamics
