Essential Responsibilities:
Initiate, drive, consolidate, manage, and validate all Product cost out and process efficiency projects/ideas(design improvements, Sourcing Improvements, Process and Manufacturing efficiency and lead time reduction).
Leads cost reference library: consolidate, maintain an accurate record, and continuously update status of all cost out actions , giving a good estimation of expected impact upon action completion.
Interfaces with all functions such as R&D, Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Site Lean to enhance collaboration and ultimately achieve cost-out targets.
Challenge existing rules and limitations, always with attention to product quality/compliance and ensuring Product Cost Optimization is achieved while any risk is promptly mitigated.
Do necessary benchmark across HVS units and leverage offshoring and global industrial footprint to deliver value to customers (quality, cost, lead time )
Act as the Project Leader for re-launch of DT manufacturing activity at GE La Prairie.
Transparent communication: Ensure that all Product specific cost out projects are tracked, communicated, and implemented
Animate Cost Out Workshops: Initiate, organize and lead cost out workshops with the involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of equipment design/industrialization experience
Minimum of 2 years experience with Lean methodology
