Job Description Summary
As the Freight Co-Ordinator, you will report to the European Logistics Manager, and you will be responsible for overseeing all UK Core Imaging domestic and inbound shipments, liaising with carriers and Customer Services on a day-to-day basis, monitoring deliveries to end-customer, reporting and resolving any service failures.
Overseeing the booking of shipments and the provision of shipping documents to carriers on a daily basis.
Communicating shipment priorities to carriers as needed to ensure Customer commitments are met.
Monitoring inbound radioactive shipments from 3rd-party and GE Healthcare sites suppliers including Netherlands, France, Germany
Managing inbound shipments of stocked products from GE Healthcare and 3rd party sites through import process through to our 3rd party warehouse
Monitoring deliveries to end-customers and informing Customer Services of any delays or defaults with customer deliveries.
Acting as the daily interface for all UK distribution related questions, and participating co-operatively in cross-functional meetings to ensure customer requirements are met.
Investigating complaints re. delivery services and working with carriers to establish root cause and implement corrective actions.
Providing details of shipment defaults for carrier performance records.
Supporting the management of logistics suppliers through participation in supplier performance review meetings.
Participating in carrier audits and supporting QA to ensure carrier compliance with ADR and GDP.
Investigating and reporting missing radioactive packages and radiological incidents involving carriers, as well as recording damaged pharma packages in Trackwise.
Maintaining logistics data in SAP.
Re-writing and maintaining Logistics procedures as required.
Processing and approving carrier invoices.
Providing ITC data for imports shipments and support/guidance to Core Imaging manufacturing sites on ITC related matters
Qualifications and experience
Operational logistics, transportation, and distribution experience.
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Power Point, and Word.
Certified in IATA + ADR Dangerous Goods regulations.
Experience working in a highly regulated and compliant supply chain.
Solid communication and team working skills, including experience communicating at different levels and across different geographies with both GE Healthcare and 3rd party logistics organisations.
Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments.
Knowledge of operating within security programs such as Known Consignor, CTPAT and AEO.
Knowledge and understanding of International Trade Compliance and relevant UK/European trade regulation
“Can do” attitude with record of successfully working cross team and cross geography
A good level of English and a valid work permit
