Role Summary:

Baker Hughes currently has an opportunity for an experienced Skill Pool Manager with a Software Development background, to be based at their Technology Centre in Celle.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruiting, training and hiring of employees for Software Development teams

  • Experience in managing and developing people

  • Diplomacy and proficiency in handling difficult situations, such as interpersonal conflict and personnel issues

  • Understand the Agile software development process and how to help team make improvements

  • Know how to help team develop skills

  • Identify and communicate alternative sources for locating new sources for qualified recruits

  • Communicate HR related programs & growth opportunities to new hires and employees

  • Work with Project Leaders to set goals and review progress and appraisal with employees

  • Supervision of employees

  • Create development plan and training plan for employees

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • 6+ years recruiting or team lead experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability negotiate and sell the value of BHI SW Development to potential hires

  • Good leadership / management skills

  • Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience with Software Development teams would be highly desirable.

  • Oil & Gas background would be an advantage.
