The Sr Staff Commercial Operations Manager, Industry Domain Expert, Digital Energy - will accelerate growth and competitive differentiation of GE Power Digital by bringing Power industry domain expertise to their engagement with customers.
This role is focused on driving meaningful customer outcomes, consisting of software-based solutions that support key initiatives such as optimizing operations to improve industry recognized KPIs), reducing cost, optimizing asset capability, improving reliability, availability and quality of supply and product.
You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to establish the best approach to manage these outcomes utilizing GE’s state-of-the-art software based tools. Responsibilities encompass the full process lifecycle from assisting in the software development, facilitating software sales, and providing onsite customer adoption.
Support Sales and Marketing teams to identify customers that can benefit the most from Operational Excellence and develop the value proposition working closely with the Sales Leader, Product Management and Solution Architects
Work closely with Region Sales teams and Solution Architecture to drive sales of Power Digital software
Work with Product Management teams to understand where GE solutions exist and where external solutions are required to drive Operational Excellence
Provide input and feedback to the Product Management team
Experience with articulating the value via demos, storytelling or discussions of the operational software in the utilities industry such as SCADA, EMS,ADAMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS, Asset Management and Mobility
Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit (Power vertical) and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
Able to lead early stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with "Axis" approaches, and integrate with their legacy technical investments.
Understands the strengths and weaknesses of competitor offerings and can discuss the business value proposition of the GE solution set.
Lead the discovery sessions to identify business value for clients and eEstablish a deep understanding of our customers’ business and technical needs
Identify areas where GE should invest to expand our solutions
Establish a deep understanding of our customers’ business and technical needs
Create a “trusted Business advisor” relationship with our customer’s and internal technical team members
Interface with all Pre-Sales Solutions Architects and other SMEs Domain Experts globally (and build a community) to train, mentor, guide on business capabilities provided by GE
Provide SWAT coverage for key customer facing events, particularly C level discussions
Evangelize GE technology platform in appropriate sales forums to drive demand and continued interest
Build link to provocative selling model to ensure GE value propositions views are properly integrated
Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE customers from their current state to the target GE Digital Strategy by deploying Predictivity Solutions in concert with other GE Products & Services
Consults customer on alignment of outcomes and desired business solutions at an enterprise level; Analyzes, designs, develops and documents a business outcome roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business
Trains others on how to design and create the winning proposals that result in successful deal closure; An expert in compiling the correct information in the fastest and most the cost-effective manner that would include the formatted content and structure of winning proposals Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Power Grid operations either within a utility or with a software supplier to the utility industryEligibility Requirements:

Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand
