Job Description Summary
This role is based in Ipswich, QLD and supports the Total Logistics Support Contract (TLS) that GE has with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) to maintain the F414 Engines.
You will be responsible for the Operations Management of F414 Engine intermediate and depot level maintenance program. This involves leading the production/repair schedule with key subcontractor, prioritizing and coordinating repairs, managing specialised tooling, leading future development of repair capability, improving current repair processes through lean initiatives, and identifying opportunities to introduce repair capability in-country.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and uses expertise to solve problems as well as identify and execute objectives for self and others. The individual must have the aptitude to understand a complex logistical environment and positively influence short-term and long-term business goals.
In summary, the role is responsible for attainment of TLS program Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and System Health Indicators (SHI), management of key relationships, and coordination of the F414 engine maintenance program.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Holistic management of the F414 engine intermediate and depot level maintenance program.
Develop maintenance forecasts, communicate demand requirements and work with multiple vendors to execute against production schedules.
Ensuring production schedule is aligned to TLS Key Performance Indicators, System Health Indicators, and contractual requirements are adhered to.
Work collaboratively with key sub-contractors to resolve technical issues, supply constraints, scheduling conflicts and any other challenges in order to meet program production targets.
Manage contractual elements with the subcontractor; responsible for evaluating subcontractor performance in line with the contract in quarterly intervals on behalf of the program
Close coordination with internal cross-functional team (FSR, logistics lead, finance) to optimize planning of production schedule
Review and coordinate with logistics team lead inventory requirements in support of program monthly master production scheduling
Facilitate routine meetings addressing issues such as maintenance processes, specialised tooling, and technical hazards.
Proactive analysis on increasing repair capability in-country; lead the analysis and present the business with opportunities to localize capability where viable
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a technical or business management field of study or equivalent industry experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a close team environment.
Significant prior experience in Production Management and Contract Execution.
Possession of an Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to obtain such a clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Must be hold Australian Citizenship, at time of application.

MILIS qualifications & experience
Experience in interpreting technical documentation including parts catalogues and diagrams
