General Electric Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager in Budapest, United States
The Senior Supply Chain Finance Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. You are expected to drive all supply chain & cost accounting metrics across the legacy Alstom segment and be a critical business partner to operations and the Power Services parts fulfillment team. This role provides leadership to the dedicated legacy Alstom finance teams to drive profitability, process improvements, simplification and compliance across the business.
Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes across the operations by driving controllership awareness (SOX)
Leading internal and external audits
Partner with business leaders to drive operating performance and act as champion for cost optimization, productivity, inventory accuracy & utilization, as well as inventory standard settings
Lead the financial closing activities and develop quarterly estimates, operating plans and forecasts regularly for all related businesses (GES, POC, GTM)
Global leader of the inventory estimates for the area of responsibility
Review Capex & Investment proposals, costs competitiveness & costs out initiative deployments into std prices, implementation of dashboards & metrics across functions, data simplification, analytics for Quality, documentation & process improvements
Be active partner with Supply Chain Finance and Controllership in policy harmonization efforts for the new combined business (legacy PGS and legacy Alstom)
Facilitate a smooth PowerMax Transformation Go-Live
Partner with the Lighthouse project team on the Parts Transformation Project
Use deep GE & domain knowledge to drive process improvements and automated analytical/Digital tools
Works effectively across multiple functions, provides leadership on key initiatives and drives simplification projects that facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis
Supervise and develop a team of 4
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent
Very strong broad expertise in Operational Finance, including FP&A and Controllership
Experience working with SAP and knowledge of US GAAP/GE GAP
Process mindset: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement
Strong computer skills e.g. Microsoft Excel, MS- Access, Power Point
Fluency in English
Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Demonstrated commitment for process improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate results in a clear/concise manner
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
FMP/EFLP/CAS graduates preferred but not essential
Master’s of Business Administration is preferred
Statistically literate and familiar with Six Sigma quality concepts and tools
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Extensive knowledge of legacy Alstom business operations is an advantage
