Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Effectively leading the test effort to meet the product quality goals and thereby achieving the organizational goals

  • Defining the verification strategy for the product/project

  • Establishing the test plan

  • Defining the test objectives, policies

  • Assessing with the team which functions are appropriate for test automation

  • Defining, allocating the necessary test environment/tools/resources

  • Driving the execution of the test plan & monitoring the progress

  • Establishing the test summary reports

  • Evangelizing and promoting the use of test methodologies

  • Training/coaching the testers

  • Challenging existing habits, and fostering simplification and improvements

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software development/testing/project leadership

  • Expertise in verification and validation methodologies

  • System level thinking, skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements

  • Ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy

  • Good communication, mentoring skills (written and oral - also in English)

  • Rigor, curiosity, creativity and team spirit

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in test automation

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience in the medical industry

  • Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies
