Reporting to Energy Payments COE Leader, this role is responsible for leading a payments regional team responsible for executing payments on behalf of the business.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the Payments COE Regional Manual Payments team ensuring best in class payments disbursements processes. Hire, train, coach, and develop an exceptional customer focused operational team that exhibits the GE behaviors of humility, transparency and focus.

  • Create & champion a LEAN culture that facilitates adequate segregation of duties, risk mitigation and operational efficiency to meet customer expectations for SLA’s and Quality and to meet productivity goals. Perform capacity planning to ensure rightsizing of team. Drive and report out on KPI’s.

  • Build partnerships with upstream and downstream stakeholders to establish shared accountability in order to continuously improve process performance and quality.

  • In collaboration with ERP Payments Leader & Program Leader, identify and support strategic projects to reduce manual payments and improve controllership.

  • Manage and escalate critical system and bank production issues requiring interface with Bank, IT and Product Management leaders to ensure timely resolution and contingency planning.

  • Maintain business continuity plans payment execution to support business goals

  • Ensure account controllership & SOD; review and sign payment requests as needed

Qualification / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related area.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ of financial services experience or treasury/payments experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team

  • Broad understanding of banking networks, payment systems, collections, disbursements, FX, pooling/concentration. Knowledge of business ERP’s a plus.

  • Experience working in global business environment with a sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.

  • Strong organizational skills – ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptable/flexible: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances. Able to work in ambiguous situations. Experienced in a matrix and global environment preferred.
