General Electric Test Automation Lead in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Test Automation Lead with hands-on experience of implementing test automation solutions in complex software environment of advanced visualization products that are used in medical applications. These applications are for radiologists, cardiologists and surgeons, and used all around the globe to improve the review and analysis of medical CT, MRI, PET, etc. images for diagnosis, preparation for surgery or treatment follow-up.

Essential Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Architecting/consolidating existing automation solutions

  • Providing technical leadership to the development scrum teams, and evangelizing the automation methodologies and mindset

  • Setting direction for long term automation plan, bringing in best practices

  • Take the lead and foster achieving test automation KPIs

  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving process effectiveness and efficiency

  • Interfacing with site leadership on various initiatives. Routinely updating management and stakeholders with project status

  • Leveraging metrics to assist in shaping the strategy of the assigned area of responsibility

  • Mentoring/Coaching junior team members

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in automated software testing

  • System level thinking, system decomposition experience

  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts

  • Has the ability to analyse impact of technology choices

  • Experience with performance, scalability, and reliability testing of distributed systems

  • Experience in Java 8, Spring Boot, Linux, scripting, Maven, GitLab, JBehave, JUnit

  • Excellent communication, mentoring skills (written and oral)

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral)

  • Rigor, curiosity, creativity, and team spirit

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with C++, Serenity, Selenium, Angular, Protractor, Jasmine

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience in the medical industry

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy

  • Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, process verification and validation methodologies
