General Electric Statutory Controllership Analyst in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis in partnership with distributed teams of GE personnel and BPO (PwC and Genpact). May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Reports to GE Steam Power Operational Controller.

Responsibilities

STAT Accounting processes:

  • Oversee statutory financial statements filings and ensure all are completed timely, efficiently and in compliance with the country regulatory requirements.

  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities related to financial reporting with the external auditors

  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.

  • Provide monthly reports and ad hoc reports to relevant stakeholders as requested to support STAT external financial audits.

  • Support People Leader and Finance Managers to resolve daily operational issues

  • Ensure proper archiving of the documents to ensure full safeguards around company records

  • Ensure proper accounts reconciliation (GE GAP to STATUTORY) process throughout the organization.

Project support / Distributed team and BPO coordination:

  • Drive continuous improvements in all aspects of the Statutory financial reportion operational processes, with a focus on improvement in execution and optimization

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to receive inputs, seek review and approval of outputs and maintain updates of status and progress

  • Coordinate and prioritize the deliverables with each of the local team along with coaching of peers

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Maintain STAT KPIs

  • Minimal audit breaches on STAT compliance

  • Accurate, timely & compliant STAT financial records & reporting

  • STAT Account reconciliations – focus on timely & qualitative work, limited number of open items

  • Stakeholders feedback

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA: This role requires basic experience in the Finance & Statutory. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
