Job Description Summary

The Advanced Visualization Platform is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the Platform’s ongoing product development and enhancement efforts.

Day-to-day activities include working in a cross functional team, closely with product owners to understand requirements, and participating in activities across the lifecycle of software development including software design, prototyping, planning, development and functional testing.

Job Description

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with product owner, software developers, quality engineers to implement solutions that meet requirements

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques

  • Write codes that meet standards and deliver desired functionality using the latest technologies

  • Work on complex data structures, algorithms and implement them using language of choice

Requirements/Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in a software engineering role

  • Knowledge of one or more major object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java)

  • User-level Linux/Unix experience

  • Attention to detail, including code quality, testability, maintainability and documentation aspects

  • Strong desire to learn new technologies

  • Fluent English communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in containerization technologies, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes

  • Experience in advanced medical imaging and/or with DICOM standard

  • Experience in IT security (authentication, authorization, smartcards and supporting solutions/frameworks)

  • Experience with agile development and tools
