General Electric QA Engineer Intern in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

As a QA Engineer Intern, you will ensure the quality of advanced visualization services that are used in medical applications. These applications are for radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons, and used all around the globe to improve the review and analysis of medical CT, MRI, PET, etc. images for diagnosis, preparation for surgery or treatment follow-up.

You will work within an agile scrum team, being responsible for automated testing of a feature and/or a small feature set.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Writes tests according to best practices so that crucial functional and non-functional requirements are verified, and tests remain valid when code is refactored

  • Implements automated test steps and scenarios

  • Applies various testing types and methodologies for verification and validation

  • Collaborates with development team in the implementation, bug fixing, and build plans

  • Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver with supervision while seeking help when necessary

  • Joins a scrum team for regular delivery of software increments

  • Interacts with other development teams in a global context (US, France)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a university or college, studying Engineering or Physics

  • Availability for working min. 24 hours during a working week

  • Understanding and/or experience in writing automated software tests

  • Rigor, curiosity, creativity, and team spirit

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in writing test plans, test automation, or test cases

  • Experience with performance, scalability, and reliability testing

  • 1 year of experience in Java
