Role Summary/Purpose
Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for the EMEA projects organization, Onshore EMEA finance organization and Renewables HQ. Owning Project accounting & financial bookkeeping requiring subject matter knowledge and experience, more independence in problem solving and decision making.
Essential Responsibilities
GE Onshore Wind EMEA is a +$2.0bn region with an operating profit of $100M+. The Projects Finance Analyst plays a key role in analyzing, planning, and pacing for about 70 equipment projects per year. Their tasks include:
Support EMEA region projects planning sessions preparation by interacting with the commercial team to develop the volume projections as well as the sales & Margin projections for the region
Own project accounting & financial reporting rigor of the sub-region focusing on our Mega-deals in Spain
Control and review project budget updates with the PMs and communicate variances to the Senior Leadership Team
Support PMs delivering project margin improvements through claims and ECOs forecasting
Liaise with GSCM for product cost control, understanding and reporting
Drive project closure and ECA/punchlist recovery
Partner with Controllership on projects accounting 6-steppers reviews, account reconciliations and audit support
Continuously provide feedback to ITO on financials and improvement opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
Significant experience and demonstrated performance track record in Finance roles
Demonstrated analytical skills at P&L level
Cost center and management accounting expertise
Experience and demonstrated ability in standardized reporting
Fluent in English, Spanish as a plus
Proficient use of Office software, Hyperion and Oracle
