General Electric Manager – Operational Controllership in Budapest, Hungary

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Controllership team responsible for timely coordination of regional closing and reporting activities: preparing the close calendar/communication, accurately report financial numbers, coordinating the edit checks for EMEA

  • Manage the account reconciliation process and report monthly the progress of Unreconciled accounts to senior management

  • Actively support and drive company initiatives impacting closing and reporting activities for the Renewables segment, including RACES implementation

  • Proactively identify potential risks/opportunities and action on them accordingly. Interpret finance risks & opportunities to local circumstances & present workable solutions

  • Serve as primary point of contact and provide support to internal and external auditors for the Renewables segment

  • Build partgnership across functions and coordinate with business stakeholders on effective closing and financial reporting routines

  • Responsible for work and development of direct reports, focus on team priorities

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and/or equivalent experience or equivalent knowledge or work experience

  • Advance understanding of financial compliance: SOX, US GAAP, IFRS knowledge is also an advantage

  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions

  • Being open to change in response to new information, unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

  • Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, actions and when dealing with others

  • Ability to influence others by strong use of facts and data

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment

  • Highly organized and capable of meeting commitments within strict deadlines

  • Good computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel
