Job Description Summary

The Lead Stat & Tax Finance ERP Specialist will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will work with various teams to develop, integrate and implement processes and systemic solutions in the area of tax & statutory compliance functions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as solution delivery expert for the GE Enterprise Standard design & implementation of tax and statutory accounting and reporting across various financial systems

  • Lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of solutions for business processes

  • Coordinate with tax and stat teams on delivery options and prioritization

  • Drive and take responsibility for operational excellence of assigned programs, with duties including project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure for all project work related to the program

  • Manage activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the programs

  • Maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization

  • Coordinate the program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, and developing training plans

  • Support, advise, assist, guide, and resolve problems for business leaders and users

  • Work as a business partner to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions

  • Ensure conformity to financial standards and practices

  • Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies and recommend funding and resources

  • Initiate direct communication with specific customers, clients, suppliers and finance personnel

  • Act as a change agent for business processes

  • Coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Significant experience with financial operations and tax systems design/implementation into the business function.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master's of Business Administration or Tax degree

  • Demonstrated influencing skills

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of SAP and Oracle financial modules

  • Knowledge of Indirect Tax automation

  • Established project management and organizational skills

  • International Tax knowledge (VAT, WHT)
