Job Description Summary

The Project Controlling team is providing comprehensive financial planning, reporting & analysis to our GE Business Partners in Europe and to our Global Corporate Leadership. Our goal is to streamline processes, create tools & analytical solutions to simplify financial reporting and drive efficiency across the company.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support multi-year industrial projects from a finance point of view through its lifecycle (from order through execution until the end of warranty period)

  • Control and analyze the financials (P&L, Balance Sheet) of the projects

  • Partner with the project managers and coordinate with other functions about finance related matters

  • Prepare and present financials during operational / margin / balance sheet reviews to senior leadership

  • Set and control revenue and cost recognition related to the projects, also be prepared to answer questions during audits

  • Plan and reevaluate budgets, give suggestions to potential opportunities in order to meet targets

  • Manage financial closes by ensuring accurate accounting

  • Support operational teams ensuring timely collection of cash

  • Gain expert knowledge to be able to manage project financials in the ERP (SAP / Oracle) of the company

  • Constantly work on improvements, standardization and automation opportunities to streamline current processes


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or financial work experience, preferably in accounting or planning (FP&A, Controlling) or equivalent knowledge or work experience

  • Experience in cost controlling, budget controlling, reporting roles

  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Advanced communication skills in English both verbal and written

  • Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions

  • Team player: able to work across different teams and contribute to a positive environment
