General Electric Intercompany Operational Leader in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

The Grid Solutions Intercompany Operational Leader will demonstrate accountability, process ownership & supervision of daily intercompany operational activities, accounting and closing processes working closely together with the GRID Intercompany Global Process Leader. This individual will integrate policies, procedures, and guidelines to help ensure the GRID business meets intercompany accounting & reporting standards for GE Vernova and GE Company.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure that process guidelines, policies and controls are maintained properly for Intercompany standard processes for Grid Solutions,

  • Coordinate, review and support day-to-day accounting and close activities performed by outsourced teams,

  • Monitor Genpact and GE compliance with alignment of predefined KPIs and metrics,

  • Build strong partnership with stakeholders across functions

  • Support various Intercompany related projects (e. g. simplifications, system changes, new policies implementation, migrations)

  • Act single point of escalation contact for both Genpact, Global Process Leaders and cross-functional teams,

  • Lead closing process to pass system edit checks (Non-IBS and IBS) and close intercompany issues while analyzing financial information,

  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations

  • Supervise intercompany disconnect resolution (Open AP item, GRNI, DT/DF open item reconciliation, receivable, current affiliates, borrowings, etc.)

  • Challenge process & system deficiencies… drive simplification and continuous improvement,

  • Identify root cause of accounting issues raised by the operational teams and find the proper channel to resolve

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance).

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Operational Controllership.

  • Deep SAP expertise specifically in the areas Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/MM modules including IDOC, customer & vendor master data maintenance, GRNIresolution

  • Highly analytical with well-developed problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
