General Electric HR Manager - Renewable Energy Hungary in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

As HR Manager supporting the Renewable Energy team in Hungary, you will be the first point of contact for people leaders and their employees, especially in Finance and IT, but also employees of various functions based in Hungary. Supporting the leadership team, based in global geographies, you will partner with them to define and implement people solutions and processes to effectively utilize resources and improve organizational capabilities. You will coach and upskill local leaders helping them to build employee engagement as well as retention and resolve employee concerns rapidly. You will support the functional Managers develop and grow their employees and where necessary manage performance, absence, and conduct concerns.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple leaders within a complex business environment, including supporting multiple matrixed organizations, on matters related to employee advocacy/engagement, company culture, performance and career development, talent acquisition and retention.

  • Partner with Senior HRMs, HR Business Partners and HR centers of excellence (O&TD, Talent Recruiting, C&B, HR Operations) to execute business-specific HR strategies.

  • Is first point of contact for employees & managers (based across the globe) who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes.

  • Support People Leaders to deliver against their engagement plans and continue to drive increased culture survey participation rates across the teams.

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring cases are dealt with in a timely manner and in line with Company Policy and relevant employment law.

  • Building on the strong foundations within the HR team by embedding added value solutions across the business and all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit.

  • Using data to drive decision making and following lean principles, analyse people trends and analytics to enhance solutions, processes and policies that address current problems and avoid future ones.

  • Undertake HR administration activities for client group, support People Leaders in maintaining the HR System Workday.

  • Act as the employer representative and manage employee relations issues pertaining to Trade Unions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, in a Human Resources or related discipline, from an accredited university or college.

  • Significant professional experience and proven track record in a Human Resources capacity with responsibilities such as recruiting at all levels in the organization, designing and delivering Manager/employee training on HR best practice, driving well-balanced compensation and benefits decisions, and a strong focus on leading employee development or performance management.

  • Prior experience in an HR capacity with strong focus on Manager and employee coaching towards delivering business results.

  • Experience in acting as a mediator to resolve conflict constructively within the organization.

  • Proven great communication skills, engaging with all levels of an organization

  • This role requires significant experience in Human Resources & Employee Human Resource Management.

  • Strong knowledge of local labor law.

  • Experience working in multinational, matrixed work environment.

  • Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance & confidentiality

  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Proficiency in English and Hungarian languages.
