General Electric Gas Power LE Financial Quality Controller in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

The Gas Power LE Financial Quality Controller is a direct report of the Gas Power Global LE Financial Quality Leader and key member of the Operational Controllership team. This role is responsible for ensuring US GAAP compliance at a LE level. This includes coordinating execution of the annual CSA revenue restatements, coordinating preparation of Base Line Packs (BLP's), supporting audit requests, executing and monitoring internal parts pricing process on CSA contracts, coordinating annual and periodical LE financial reviews and supporting the business on key initiatives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

CSA Revenue Restatement preparation:

  • Ensure all data needed to execute the restatement process is collected. This ncludes ICAM/AMP and ConFIRM extracts, manual data inputs, TP rates, contract resets, DB impairments, EXW CM%, etc..

  • Update and improve standard CSA revenue recognition MAT template and Alteryx workflow

  • -Monitor completion of DB account reconciliations in ConFIRM

CSA Revenue Restatement execution and governance:

  • Produce CSA revenue restatement MAT templates using Alteryx

  • Generate reports of Consolidated Restated Financials & DB Walks from finalized MAT templates

  • Run daily DB Walk extracts

  • Run daily CSA revenue restatement extracts

  • Produce metrics to track progress of CSA revenue restatement models

  • Monitor and track restatement exception reviews

  • Coordinate preparation, review and recording of the CSA revenue sales true ups

Internal Parts Pricing execution and control:

  • Calculate Parts CM% adder for new CSA contracts

  • Calculate actual blended & projected Parts CM% for all CSA models after each updated estimate (MR Cycle), ensure projected CM gets uploaded in Alpha

  • Monitoring parts transfer costs on a regular basis and troubleshoot issues and unexpected results

LE GAAP Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare annual and LE Deep Dive reporting packages

  • Participate in LE Deep Dive calls, monitor progress and collect and report findings and root causes impacting LE financial quality

  • Produce ad hoc GAAP by LE financial reports

Base Line Packs (BLP) Process:

  • Participate in the G2S2T cycle planning process and agree with the regional Operational Controllership and Stat teams the BLP production calendar

  • Lead Accenture GAAP by LE team in the preparation of BLP's

  • Monitor BLP preparation process

Audit requests support:

  • Monitor progress audit requests addressed to the Operational Controllership team

  • Support Stat and Tax teams identifying correct data owners to address audit requests

Key Initiatives Support:

  • Complete automation of Parts CM% in AMP, including integration to Alpha and reporting

  • Automate production of GAAP by LE financial reporting packs allocating TP costs to the correct profit pools

  • Support business in Alpha Uplift rollout

  • Support LEFQ flagship program

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 5 years of relevant financial work experience

  • Fluency in English

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, experience working across different levels and sub functions of a global business

  • Solid technology skills: experience with financial systems/applications (e.g. HFM, Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, ARM, Datalake, strong Excel skills, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with Alteryx is a plus

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience performing process improvement activities ideally connected with a MSP external partner

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Strong organizational & project management skills, able to adjust to varying priorities in a dynamic environment, work under pressure, prioritize tasks to meet goals/deadlines
