General Electric FP&A Analyst – Project Controlling in Budapest, Hungary

Role Summary:

The FP&A team is providing comprehensive financial planning, reporting & analysis to our GE Business Partners in Europe and to our Global Corporate Leadership. Our goal is to streamline processes, create tools & analytical solutions to simplify financial reporting and drive efficiency across the company.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Order booking file check, set up new order in PMX, PMX new order release,

  • Calculation Model input in PMX, Support to PM in PMX project set up, Support to PM in project review preparation,

  • Project review file check,

  • Business Project Review attendance,

  • PMX project update following project review decisions,

  • PMX project closure (including cleansing residual open commitments),

  • Project cash in/out forecast management,

  • Intercompany cash in/out control and managementCOST CENTERS CONTROL

  • Actual cost center control and analysis,

  • Check hours charged to projects (CATS),

  • Accruals monitoring and control, Internal fees control,

  • Shared services charges checkMONTHLY CLOSURE ACTIVITIES

  • PMX Monthly closure routine: run transactions and control output,

  • Check Sales recognized /Invoices issued, Sales/Margins by project analysis (RA check and confirm),

  • Cost base report analysis before Teranga submission, RA P/L and B/S analysis and control before Teranga submissionMONTHLY BUSINESS UNIT (5562) REPORTING

  • Teranga submission (TB), Teranga submission (CIA), Teranga submission (DR), Teranga submission (DM), Quarterly Accounts Reconciliation

  • FACTORING TO WCS (Working Capital Solutions – Partner of GE)

  • Eligibility of contracts, PMX setting by project, Reporting to WCS, PMX accounting, Process Management


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or financial work experience,

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Advanced communication skills in English both verbal and written

  • Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions

  • Team player: able to work across different teams and contribute to a positive environment
