General Electric Financial Project Intern in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

This internship is intended for freshly graduated students wishing to acquire knowledge in the field of finance and more particularly management control. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and with various functions across the company. This internship reports to the Finance Manager of the construction and commissioning (C&C) function of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Analyze the costs incurred by the projects and help the site managers to prepare their budgets.

  • Manage the monitoring of performance and productivity indices relating to the C&C function.

  • Ensure the compliance of the control processes of the C&C function.

  • Ensure the maintenance of the supplier invoice validation tool in accordance with GE internal regulations.

  • Initiate funding requests according to the cash requirements of each project.

  • Bring ideas for simplification and improvement to the C&C function and help implement them.


  • Ongoing studies in Finance

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent command of oral and written English

  • Analytical skills and ability to influence all functions.

  • Good knowledge of MS office tools (Excel-PPT)

Desired Characteristics:

  • BAC+3 in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge or experience
