GE Aerospace Finance Analyst - Controllership in Budapest, Hungary

Job Description Summary

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Preparing forecasting cashflows every quarter, compare actuals to forecast and improve Modeller.

  • Ensure pre close actions are completed and postings are made.

  • Month end close co-ordination, ensuring teams are available and monitoring their progress, escalate and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable account in the balance sheet; Trade Accounts Payable, deferred Corporate Income Tax, Leases.

  • Perform Transfer Pricing calculation.

  • Verify trial balance for upload and tie out.

  • Quarter end reporting pack - preparing accounts payable reporting information, co-ordinate with other teams to construct the full reporting pack.

  • Preparing account reconciliations.

  • Prepare statutory and SOX accounting support.

  • Leading lean initiatives and projects to improve current processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in the Finance & Accounting Operations.

  • Relevant degree within Accounting or Finance.

Desired Characteristics

  • Professional qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Qualified by experience.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
