Role Summary:

This role supports the Customs Strategic Initiatives team on Process Improvement strategies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all data and digitization related projects and initiatives

  • Lead the development of an automated tool for customs data analytics

  • Lead the development of automatized visual management around the customs data

  • Manage the implementation of processes which improve Customs operations in strong cooperation with other stakeholders and team members across Europe

  • Continuously look for digitization opportunities to improve and simplify our Customs Processes and lead the implementation

  • Lead the Customs Digitization Initiative to improve trade automation for pilot site and lead the possible system extension for other sites

  • Partner with business supply chain leaders ensuring strategic alignment with needs of each business in the region

  • Ensure effective stakeholder management to drive buy in, engagement & change; escalate critical issues in a timely & effective manner

  • Serve as a change agent by seeking, sharing and implementing best practices in order to improve the processes in the region.


  • University degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience

  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization

  • Excellent ability to influence many different stakeholders at various levels of the organization

  • Proven experience impacting performance excellence

  • Fluent in English

  • Analytical oriented mindset

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Strong project management skills and problem-solving attitude

  • Strong team work and prioritization skills

  • Numerate with a good eye for detail, precision

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills with emphasis on building good working relations

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges efficiently

  • Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary

Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP, CAS or other GE development program graduate

  • Experience in Customs or Logistics field

  • Additional European languages (other than English)

  • Established networks within the GE Customs organizations
