Job Description Summary

Seeking highly motivated and qualified individual with experience in the integrated sales and operations planning (S&OP) function. This individual will strategize with business leadership on building out a digital roadmap for S&OP at LM Wind and ultimately own the execution of this strategy through delivering value adding features on the o9 platform

As Staff Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships with and influencing across product management and software engineering teams. The primary focus will be acting as the product owner for the o9 platform at the LM Wind Power business at GE Renewable Energy. Primary responsibilities include defining and maintaining a product backlog of enhancements complete with acceptance criteria and business benefits, tracking user satisfaction and adoption, establishing collaborate relationships with key business stakeholders and facilitating communication on upcoming releases, issues, and integrations. In addition to the LM wind product ownership role, this role includes acting as the technical product manager for the o9 Center of Excellence (COE) team at GE Renewable Energy. Primary responsibilities include facilitating software development planning and execution adhering to the agile methodology. Close collaboration with DT leadership, business leadership and the o9 platform team are essential to this role in order to execute on the o9 vision at GE Renewable Energy.

o9 is an integrated planning, analytics and data platform transforming supply chain, revenue and decision making for Renewabl Energy. This third party software is critical to the overall S&OP process at LM Wind Power and this role is designed to allow for qualified individual to become a business process champion in the S&OP space while managing digital design requirements and overall technical execution with the main purpose of delivering maximum value.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Business Outcome Leadership – Partner with business to identify core opportunities to develop new features that will drive process improvement, decision intelligence and predictive capabilities that will enable to business to reach their goals around cash, margins, and productivity

  • Function as a product owner and execute vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for LM Wind business

  • Applies Agile Methodology while leading the o9 COE development team to ensure high OTD % and maintaining a strong say/do ratio

  • Actively demonstrates proactive communication skills with upcoming release plans, integrations, outages, and performance downgrades

  • Maintains high level of customer support ensuring all tickets are resolved within SLA

  • Shows increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.

  • Actively seeks feedback from stakeholders and customers and produces action plans to address pain points

  • Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.

  • Lead a software engineering product team as a product owner to deliver releases and milestones following the agile methodology

  • Become a domain/business expert for the product and deep dive the supply chain function at GE Renewable Energy. Support the establishment/refinement of product management processes.

  • Work cross functionally across sourcing teams, supply chain experts, software architects, and other senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.

  • Be a GE Digital Technology “change agent”, identifying and understanding capabilities being driven at the company level, driving Renewable Energy “re-use” where possible

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a supply chain role or related digital supply chain function

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain field OR “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology,

Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience or equivalent

Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)

  • Must be willing to travel globally

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven product/project management experience

  • Experience working in strategic planning or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP or S&OE) teams desired

  • Manufacturing project/program experience is preferred. Experience with the following: Solution Architecture, data architecture, software development and global supply chain & manufacturing operations

  • Preferred but not mandatory: Experience with Agile, SCRUM. Ability to coach and mentor the GSCM DT organization

  • AWS Solution Architect Certified is nice to have

  • SQL, Data Structures, Data Engineering experience strongly desired but not required

  • Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics ERP experience nice to have but not required

Business Acumen

  • S&OP / S&OE functional experience / expertise

  • Ability to convert obscure and ambiguous requirements and outcomes into a clear digital product strategy with improved value creation for business

  • Basic understanding of Oracle and SAP ERP systems and their data structures and use cases within our business

  • Experience working on ERP implementations at GE or an ERP reporting function project

  • Results-oriented/ outcome-focused mindset

  • Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, external focused, and influence business and DT

  • Ability to use expertise and knowledge to challenge the “status quo” and define more strategic approach and defend that position

  • Adopts holistic approach, considers multiple points of view. Challenge program/product planning assumptions

  • Builds direct and “behind the scenes” support for ideas, and leverages chains of indirect influence
