Role Summary:

In this role you will provide ongoing support for Manufacturing Execution Systems and their related components including Loftware labeling systems, and first level hardware/software support for networks, PCs, phone and video systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Work with the IT team to identify equipment and processes that are within the GE standards.

  • MES support – Provide user and system support, act as liaison to central MES dev/ops team to ensure a smooth transition and drive stable operations.

  • Labeling Systems Support - Provide user and system support (maintain and configure print queues, end user support with label formats/designs, and software maintenance upgrades)

  • Provide user support and assist with SAP migration.

  • Desktop support: Provide day to day support to users for equipment refreshes.

  • Shop Floor: Provide support with processes on the shop floor, ensuring consistent connectivity standards for edge devices (i.e. PLCs).

  • Local support: “Boots on the ground” level 1 support for servers, LAN, & WIFI. Liaison to corporate L2+ support teams. Issue/Manage corporate support tickets to ensure timely resolution for outages. Communicate status back to local teams.

  • Xerox – site contact for Xerox devices, supplies, and service. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science orEngineering.

  • Previous experience in IT supporting a manufacturing facility.

  • Previous experience with one or more GE Digital products (Cimplicity, Historian, Plant Applications)Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills. Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven knowledge of Global GE tool sets (Box, Support Central, ServiceNow, Skype, etc.) and processes.

  • Strong computer skills - Advanced technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills of MicrosoftWindows, Office, Skype/Teams, etc.

  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and networks and how to troubleshoot connectivity issues.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases and experience with Microsoft SQL server (2008+).

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, ability to translate technical information into business terms.

  • Excellent sense of priority. Ability to effectively support several assignments while keepingteams informed and maintaining customer satisfaction in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong desire for self-improvement and to learn new MES technologies/processes. Willing to maintain and develop level of technical expertise.

  • Strong knowledge of help desk processes and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
