The Assembly Technician will provide support to shop assembly and disassembly area by assisting with flawless production and meeting qualifications. The technician is also responsible for all assigned aspects of the production process, including: Equipment handling and equipment preparation, equipment disassembly, assembling, painting, staging and various support activities.
Complywith all EHS requirements
Workunder the guidance of Supervisor/Team Lead to perform and complete the assignedduties in
Producethe required quantity in the highest quality minimizing flaws in the process,help complete product steps to obtain a finish product following all prescribedrequirements and procedures
Enhanceoperational efficiency and safety by supporting the different assigned job task
Verifythat assembled components meet BHGE Pressure Control quality guidelines
Keepequipment in well working condition – perform scheduled maintenance
Keepall working areas safe and free of debris and oil
HighSchool Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum4 years of experience in mechanical assembly, repairing wellhead and/or valveequipment assembly
Eligibility Requirements :
Abilityand willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Abilityand willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching,bending and other physical activities
Abilityand willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day,primarily standing and sitting, as required
Abilityand willingness to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
Abilityand willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Tothe extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to use arespirator in the painting booth, you must be willing to submit to a pulmonaryfunction test to be fitted for a respirator
Self-motivatedand team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work wellwith others
Priortesting, assembly, or electrical experience
Previousexperience in the Oil industry
Knowledgeof hand tools / air tools
Worksautonomously within established procedures and practices
