About the role

Our engineering team is highly collaborative and our software, mechanical and electronic teams work together daily to solve complex engineering problems.

As a Lead Mechatronics Engineer you will be involved in the full life cycle development of mechatronic systems.

You will be designing and developing robots for jet engine repair and maintenance and other applications in the aviation sector.

You will be working towards satisfying customer requirements and will have the possibility to work with both internal and external customers.

You will be the Technical Lead with responsibility for the delivery of range of projects/products, working on challenging projects that encourage analytical and creative thinking.

About you

  • You have a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, scientific or mathematical subject

  • You have experience with CAD packages and Finite Element Analysis

  • You have experience with mechanical design, technical drawing, and design for manufacture

  • You have an understanding of electronic circuits and their manufacture

  • You are passionate about being involved in the full life cycle product development

  • You are positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to apply a high level of initiative

  • You have good organizational skills, and are able to prioritize tasks

  • You have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to analyze and resolve problems with initiative

Some additional desirable skills:

  • You have experience with Autodesk Inventor

  • You have experience in control theory and gain setting

  • You have a good mathematical ability, particularly with 3D geometry

  • You have some experience in C, C++, python or other engineering programming languages

  • You have experience in working in a high-tech engineering company
