Job Description Summary

As Special Process & Lab Specialist you will be directly involved in the development / testing and introduction of new products as well as the management of the existing ones, working concurrently with Design & Operations teams to ensure product success. You will manage the assigned Special Processes defining production parameters, reviewing laboratory reports to ensure customer requirements satisfaction, Six Sigma process capability as well as supporting continuous process improvement, safety & environment. In this role, you will support the Technology Department and New Product Introduction team, including optimizing processes, leading / supporting design reviews, product transitions, & root cause / corrective action investigations.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide training/enabling/qualification (when applicable) of facilities and personnel devoted to Special Processes

  • Provide adequate support to CoE industrialization and production via preliminary set-up tests and final issue of technical process data sheet for product qualification

  • Perform Special Processes auditing either internal either at supplier facilities according to applicable regulation requirements and according to the AvioAero Audit Plan required by Customers/Partners/NADCAP etc.

  • Manage Labs Equipment and consumable plan according to the budget

  • Contribute to generate and revise the Technical documents for equipment procurement in Special Processes and Labs area

  • Support compilation/issue/updating of reference specification for the AvioAero processes

  • Accomplish all the tasks for Rules issuing and updating depending upon applicable requirements

  • Support all the activities required to implement simplification of transactional processes as well as AvioAero procedure review

  • WGM UG use for data card uploading

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials) / Chemical / Physics from an accredited University

  • Previous experience in Special Processes, Inspection Technologies, Labs activities in aerospace

  • Fluent in Italian and in English (both verbal & written)

  • EU Work Permit

  • Team oriented approach to achieve timely results

  • SAP and WGM UG system knowledge

  • NADCAP experience on task group or as a supplier

  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
