Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
This role is expected to perform repair design and development activities within the Service Engineering organization.
The Repair Engineer reports to the Sub Section Manager of the Military Repair & I.C.A. Office located in Brindisi.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Define Inspection Limits and Develop Repairs for Military Engines, Modules and Components, in order to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life
Identify and develop new repair technologies and creative application of existing, to address business needs;
Define and coordinate the substantiation activities (design, analysis, testing, etc…) needed to demonstrate airworthiness of serviceable or repaired components;
Ownership of Technical Publications relevant to engines, components or Sub-assembly
Support the Repair Stations in improving maintenance costs and TAT and in the solution of technical problems deriving from the repair processes and technologies;
Promote the “concurrent repair design” with the Avio Repair Stations and with the other Repair Stations within GE Aviation network;
Use of design tools: 2D / 3D CAD as Unigraphics, and in-house SW’s
Use of Tech Pubs creation/editing tool
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from an accredited University
Sense of ownership, attitude for collaboration, proactivity
Good technical skills
Proficiency in Italian and English language
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required .

Good materials and special processes knowledge
Previous experience in Aerospace Design
Previous experience in Repair Engineering
CAD tools knowledge
