Job Description Summary
The Lead lean specialist plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and has direct responsibility for achieving results together with his/her functions leaders whose partners with. He/she is able to constantly tune himself/herself to the business priorities, catching opportunities and anticipating problems.
This person is a strong coach for his/her peers and shop operators, must have a leadership and credibility so to captivate the team in the willingness toward lean.
He/she promotes actively a culture of improvement, balancing the challenging the status quo with a deep understanding of ‘’what good looks like’’ in the current environment.
This key team element is knowledge of Lean techniques, especially in problem solving tools and has proven ability in coaching and mentoring others. He/she has proven experience in driving turnaround in complex contexts, translating previous experiences in flexible support for our environment agility, resilience and flexibility.
Drives targeted functions toward improvement in order to achieve KPI’s objectives.
Understands, deploys and structures a lean standard work to transform the way of work.
Knows how to talk to every level of the organization, able to help anyone to improve ‘’their future self’’ in their lean journey.
Responsible for developing a roadmap to achieve excellence in targeted KPI’s, prioritizing critical projects to whose he/she contributes with the support of the functional team
Excellent architect of lean systems based on theoretical basis, he/she knows how to translate the theory in a rightly adapted business system for the operations
Handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing or engineering
Leads the lean transformation inside the operations and leverage on best practices to improve our processes
Identifies opportunities for lean projects, defines a lean roadmap along with Plant Lean leader and the functional leaders and develops key competences within the organization
Being able to contribute in the decision making process regarding re-lay-out, efficiency of equipment and manpower utilization, materials systems
Deliver development of Lean Principles. (5’s, Standard work, TPM, SMED, VSM, Problem solving, Policy deployment)
Master's degree in Engineering, Economics from an accredited university or college
Previous experience in GSC/Operations in a complex manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge and experience in lean methodology and tools
Strong oral and written communication skills
Analytical, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Facilitation, organizational and influencing skills
Results driven with proven process orientation
Fluent in Italian and in English
EU Work Permit
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills so to be able to influence a transformation
Attitude to coach others in define problem appropriately and methodologically solve them
Attitude to deal with high pressure situations, deal with conflict, ability to negotiate, strong change management skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization dealing with several different stakeholders
