General Electric CFM56 Operation Leader in Brindisi, Italy
The CFM56 Operation Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. He/she will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning. He/she will ensure M&I phase-out and CFM56 ramp-up, controlling and guaranteeing efficiency and cost as per budget, having the shop ready in terms of Layout, People training and Organization.
Lead, work in, and promote team-based business that focuses on providing specialized,quick turn around repair services to customers
Provide leadership in the areas of staff selection, training and development, facility planning and construction, process, and procedure implementation
Responsible for achieving business profit, productivity, safety, and quality goals
Communicate with customers to ensure that all commitments are met or exceeded
Provide total shop / group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality,cost, production and compliance
Direct process / product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization
Lead / cell group to achieving goals in asset utilization, process / manufacturing lossimprovement, delivered quality and cost reduction
Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees
Direct the manufacturing of production and development of hardwareInterface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time.
Provide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training
Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production and product support requirements
Facilitate the leadership team in decision-making and problem solving and provide effective communication across the plant
Develop and track sales, expense, inventory, and investment budgets with the input of each organization
Technical degree from an accredited university or college (Engineering is preferred)
Mandatory solid experience in manufacturing leadership position (previous experience in technology and material management processes will be a plus)
Experience in Supply Chain Aviation
Fluent both Italian and English
Strong computer skills
EU work permit
Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organization demands
Prior experience with regulatory agencies and knowledge of requirements is preferred
Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of manufacturing policies and regulations established by GE as well as government and other customers
Knowledge of GE products, processes, customer requirements and budgeting/financial processes is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
