Job Description Summary
Leads advanced Power Systems Application software development and delivery to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities
Provides domain and/or technical leadership to a team of electricity markets application software engineers.
Contributes and leads electricity market application development in the context of customer commercial projects and ensures related software deliveries are on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations
Promote and demonstrate best practices and high-quality software development processes
Writes documents for new project tasks, such as Design notes, testing procedures, etc.
Works with the Market Optimization Team lead and Group manager to allocate and re-assign staff resources as needed
Provides effort estimates for new project tasks
Supports sales efforts through tendering, customer demos and customer training
Acts as a coach / mentor to grow and develop junior staff
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems.
Requires Eight (8) years development or project delivery experience in Electricity Market field.
Experience with Optimization/MIP.
Experience with software development.
