Job Description Summary

The Project Management Sr Director will lead a team of project management staff to deliver real-time software solutions in eastern North America. This individual will champion transformation of our delivery model and promote new product flexibility. The operations manager will ensure that the operations team achieves key performance metrics of Backlog Conversion, On Time Delivery, and Customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution for the Transmission portfolio, including EMS system delivery across the region.

  • Meet Revenue and Margin targets for the project portfolio.

  • Protect existing accounts and win new clients in the segment with commercial engagement.

  • Champion Lean initiatives to enable standard Project management practices and enable Dev Ops methodology.

  • Drive growth in new projects by supporting cost competitiveness initiatives and improving bid process.

  • Interface with sales, product, project engineering teams to ensure alignment on accounts.

  • Cultivate relationships with senior customer stakeholders – VP and Director level.

  • Provide project portfolio review of financial performance, project execution and schedule on an on-going basis

  • Provide leadership to project managers and project teams to identify and mitigate project risks

  • Ensure that customer CTQ’s are being met while building customer loyalty for repeat business and referrals

  • Coach and train employees in project management and control procedures for the mix of projects while driving accountability for the results

  • Share best practices to ensure project delivery standardization.

  • Measurements: Revenue conversion, Customer Loyalty, CM improvement, On time Delivery, Productivity, Schedule, Project Growth, Change requests, Cash Flow

  • Abide by all GE Spirit and Letter policies, including, but not limited to Integrity, Diversity, Proprietary Information, Conflict of Interest, QMS, and EHS

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree. A minimum 12 years of professional experience.

  • 5+ years management of large software project portfolio

  • 5+ years in utility industry, or other large customer project environmentTeam management of 10+ project managers

Eligibility Requirement :

  • Knowledge of the GE EMS Products and real-time SCADA systems.

  • Able to work within a multi-discipline, multi-cultural team environment

  • Good problem solving skills and a proactive approach to project management

  • Strong communicator, able to juggle multi-tasking in a high pressure environment

  • Ability to organize, assess, orchestrate, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones, and deliverables

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas;

  • Credible, self-starting, a sense of urgency, a bias to action, good judgment, level headed under pressure
