Job Description Summary

This position is for a DevOps/Deployment Engineer to help us modernize our integration, testing and deployment pipeline and will be a critical part in delivering our next-generation platform solutions.

This role requires a highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a rapidly evolving technical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be someone with a hybrid developer/sysadmin background who is comfortable with Linux and Windows environments. Skilled in innovating, developing, and maintaining build and configuration management. Contributes to the team and works independently.

• Work with the services and technology teams to define and implement CI/CD best practices and guiding the deployment through a practical set of Pipelines

• Help the team mature our automated deployment and container utilization strategies

• Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks

• Increase task level and takes on multiple projects at one time

• Become skilled with various configuration management, build management and continuous integration tools and methodologies

• Become skilled with SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Collaborate with Project Teams to implement end to end Build and Release process for a specific release

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree + with 2 years of experience min.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

• Must be willing to travel (if travel is required) – 5 - 10%

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

• 2 years of experience in supporting industry standard core CI/CD infrastructure components: Nexus/Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, Code Coverage tools, Security tools etc.

• Must have 2+ years’ experience in Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

• 2 years Python, Shell, UNIX/LINUX experience

• Proficiency in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of one or more server operating system families (Linux, Windows)

• Automation/DevOps experience is a MUST

• Experience building and implementing CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with AWS technology and methodologies

• Understands the importance of Build and Release as part of development life cycle and with reference to continuous integration process. Fully understands the importance of different software environments like Development, QA, and Production

• Displays understanding of the project’s value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer

• Understands how the business solves the problem in specific domain areas using the technology. (Ex: Energy Management domain)

• Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas. Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome. Uses experts or other third parties to influence
