OMLP accelerates development of early career talent and produces operational leaders capable of meeting the challenges facing the Supply Chain (inclusive of manufacturing, sourcing, and logistics) functions at GE.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

OMLP is a 2-year program consisting of 3 eight-month rotations that allow members to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training. Typical rotations include one or more of the following:

• Manufacturing Shop Operations Supervisor

• Sourcing/Materials Management (procurement, material flow)

• Technical – (lean, manufacturing engineer / process engineer)

OMLP's will be placed at one of the following businesses based on availability of positions, the interviewer’s assessment and the applicant's preference (indicated in the online application):

GE Aviation

GE Healthcare

GE Gas Power

GE Power Portfolio

GE Renewable Energy

Position Description:

Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) is intended to develop a pipeline of leaders that deliver business critical results through outstanding performance in multiple supply chain functions. As an OMLP you will have a unique opportunity to develop a broad operational knowledge base and skillset by working in three of the supply chain areas described below:

• Manufacturing Shop Operations Supervisor

• Sourcing/Materials Management (procurement, material flow)

• Technical – (lean, manufacturing engineer / process engineer)

• Environment, Health & Safety (site operations support, EHS media support)

OMLP members are first and foremost problem solvers & change agents. We want people who have a passion for improving efficiencies, eliminating waste, working in teams, demonstrating a positive attitude, and managing through challenging and difficult situations.

Our program members have the opportunity to take part in world class course work and practical application which includes: Supply Chain Management, LEAN Manufacturing Operations, Environmental Health and Safety, Project Management, Negotiation Skills and Business Acumen.

The experience gained during the rotational assignments, learning & development, and career mentorship & coaching positions OMLP members for accelerated career growth within the supply chain.

Prior work experience - including but not limited to work in a manufacturing setting (internship or associate)

Relocation requirements:

Below are the typical sites for each business, however due to the wide spread footprint of our businesses it is not an all-encompassing list.

Aviation: There are 50+ locations including Cincinnati, OH; Lynn, MA; Greenville, SC; Strother, KS; Wilmington, NC; etc. MUST be open to relocation to any site while on program.

Healthcare: 10+ Locations in the US including Milwaukee WI, Madison WI, Chicago IL, Florence SC, Phoenix AZ, Salt Lake City UT, and Cleveland OH. Must be open to relocation on program

Gas Power: There are 5 locations including; Greenville, SC; Bangor, ME; Schenectady, NY; Parsippany, NJ, & Richmond, VA Must be open to relocation on program.

Renewable Energy: Schenectady, NY; Greenville, SC; Pensacola, FL, Charleroi, PA, Clearwater, FL. Must be open to relocation on program.

Power Portfolio: Erlanger, KY and Chamblee, GA

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • A four-year Engineering or Supply Chain degree

  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
