Essential Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direction to the LEAN resources in supporting the execution of the LEAN strategy for breakthrough levels of improvement in customer satisfaction, process capability, and quality
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and role model LEAN behaviors
Work with business & operating Leaders for creation and implementation of best practice LEAN vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational & business performance.
Implement new business initiatives and projects to deliver results.
Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change.
Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance (Kaizen, Problem Solving…)
Develop, implement, communicate and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for LEAN implementation strategy
Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success
Participate in Industrial Maturity assessment, Lean health checks and go/no goes, process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity with a particular focus on layouts and sequencing. Recommend to management changes that can cut waste from operations
Serve as champion & change agent by stimulating, communicating and institutionalizing key initiatives as part of GE Renewable working rules.
Support the building and update of Global GE Renewable LEAN System.
Teach, train, coach, and mentor Leaders in the implementation of LEAN principles (using mainly Tier 1 events such as Lean Academies, Bootcamps, Shingi events…).
Facilitate the strategic and cross functional AWO of the GE-OFSW Business for the full value stream (Product Dev, Project, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing.)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with Engineering / Technical
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry
Minimum of 5 years as dedicated LEAN/OpEx Leaders, including Hoshin Kanri
Desired Characteristics:
A senior experience in an operating position (Product Dev, Transactional, Manufacturing…)
Successful track record of achievement in companies with a significant level of deployment in LEAN
Leadership experience in LEAN manufacturing, product development and transactional translated into our LEAN Skills Matrix by a proven global score
Experience in working with self-directed teams
Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Demonstrated commitment for process improvement
Ability to deliver effective presentations and educate at all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal and leadership skill
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
An automotive or World Class Industrial Manufacturing background would be highly appreciated.
Language requirements: Fluent English is mandatory. French & Spanish are optional but appreciated
