General Electric Lead Cash & Balance Sheet Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Role Summary:

The Lead Cash & Balance Sheet Analyst role will report to the Senior Cash & Balance Sheet Leader and partner with the global Current & Lighting finance teams to forecast and report key metrics for the combined balance sheet including AR, PC, AP, Inventory, Capex, CFOA, FCF and other key metrics. In addition to managing balance sheet reporting and analysis, the Lead Analyst will be responsible for other Cash & Balance sheet activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Lead Cash & Balance Sheet Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze and report the combined Balance Sheet for Current and Lighting during quarterly financial closes and Corporate planning processes

  • Support closing process, including management of R&Os, CFA’s, balance composition analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting

  • Partner with the finance and operations teams across the business to manage the balance sheet within financial system of record (Hyperion), coordinating data uploads and business tie outs

  • Facilitate ongoing Current & Lighting cash pacing meetings and monthly / quarterly operating reviews of estimates and conduct post mortem analysis on the balance sheet

  • Develop key reporting packages across Current & Lighting and define content and key messages while coordinating with cross-functional teams to roll-up operational reporting

  • Drive simplification projects and create new processes to help manage the evolution of Current & Lighting

  • Perform ongoing ad hoc analysis and reporting based on business needs Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience Desired Characteristics:

  • Preferred finance leadership program graduate (FMP, CAS) - internal GE candidates only

  • Demonstrated leadership and high energy level

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure

  • Excellent analytical skills - ability to analyze information and identify implications

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while consistently delivering results

  • High competence in change management – ability to drive actions to clearly articulated end state

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent PC / System skills – Excel, Hyperion, SAP, and PowerPoint
