ABOUT THE POSITION
The Recruiter is a strategic and trusted talent advisor to Business Leaders and HR Partners and is responsible for external recruitment as well supporting internal talent mobility across GE Corporate. The Recruiter will leverage their deep business and talent market knowledge and translate the enterprise and business strategy to an actionable recruiting plan, with the ultimate goal of delivering exceptional talent to drive the business strategy. Conduct research, sourcing and ongoing recruiting activities to identify and attract highly competitive candidates for GE Corporate. This includes creating the search strategy, refining position profiles, creating effective and efficient active and passive sourcing techniques, and assessing candidates, with the ultimately goal of always presenting the most qualified, most diverse slate of candidates for all positions.
Partner with Business and HR Leaders to understand business strategies, talent gaps and create proactive recruiting and talent engagement plans to address.
Evaluate the abilities and skills of candidates and communicate your assessment and point of view (POV) to the relevant stakeholders, ensuring that the hiring manager receives a qualified and interested short list of candidates for every search.
Communicate regularly with the hiring team; Lead regular search update calls, create search status reports, making sure that all key stakeholders are up-to-date on recruiting activities and challenges at all times .
Create an exceptional candidate experience through direct, honest and meaningful engagement throughout the entire recruitment process. Provide substantive and competency-based feedback to all candidates, both successful and unsuccessful.
Research industry competitive intelligence, analyze external market trends and share market intelligence and feedback to drive stronger, more efficient talent decisions.
Build long-term relationships with strong talent with the objective of building a healthy pipeline of passive talent for future opportunities.
Facilitate internal talent movement when appropriate; understand the internal talent landscape in order to proactively identify potential internal candidates and help calibrate to the external market.
Regularly attend appropriate business and HR meetings as well as participate in special recruiting projects across the organization.
Positively represent and differentiate the GE employment brand in the talent market.
Five + years of full lifecycle recruiting experience with at least three years focused on core corporate functions.
Experience working with databases and applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred).
Track record of creating effective, efficient and creative sourcing strategies that ultimately attract both passive and active candidates.
Strong business acumen, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for knowledge of the business; passion for identifying and recruiting strong talent.
Track record of developing diversity-specific recruiting strategies and helping hiring leaders and stakeholders understand the importance of having and cultivating strong, diverse, innovative networks and teams
Ability to craft, negotiate and advise on compensation packages. An appreciation and knowledge of legal issues that impact recruiting activities, namely employment contract law and restrictive covenants.
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail.
Ability to understand and manage expectations of business partners and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ability to think “outside of the box,” embrace change, and suggest creative, innovative solutions as it relates to the business needs.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
