Job Description Summary
The Advanced Technology Organization is responsible for driving growth in technology by researching market and customer needs and developing the requisite technologies to meet those needs. Our team supports both military and commercial customers in land, sea, and air domains. This role is involved in solving challenging business and technical problems related to sustainment of power conversion and control system product lines.
The position will be responsible for leading engineering input for bid/no-bid decisions based on project financial/strategic valuation, overall management for the development of high quality bids/proposals, and strategic initiatives to enhance/create sustainment and sales growth for existing products in production.
This role will offer a hybrid work schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. This job level operates with some autonomy but is covered by well-defined Commercial policies or review of end results.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead a matrixed team to develop timely, comprehensive, professional, and accurate project proposals with key metrics of on-time delivery, win-rate and profitabilityoCreate and manage individual proposal budgets within assigned overall yearly budgetsoAddress and understand commercial factors such as project duration, technical data rights, and bid assumptions/conditionsoSupport compliant bids in accordance with applicable DFAR regulations (ex., Truth in Negotiation Act), drawings, data sheets and specifications to achieve bid/proposal requirements oWork with customers and subject matter experts to create definition where ambiguity exists to create win-win outcomeso Identify project scope and ensure project costs are accurately integrated into project planning scenario.oIdentify Risks and OpportunitiesoPresent proposal overviews and basis of estimates to senior and executive level leadership
US Person (Green Card or Citizen)
Engineering Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 4 years technical experience
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering
Power Electronics Industry Experience, especially with Mil-Aero products
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Project Management experience
