Job Profile Summary : Facilitates in the identification & flow of work assignments within team. Utilizes Lean manufacturing methods in manufacturing processes and provides expertise functional support
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Help team identify and drive safety concerns to closure
Create and follow Lean Facilitator Standard Work
Identify and resolve bottlenecks and constraints
Track production commits, (planned vs actual) with team
Promote Safety, Quality, Delivery
Facilitate team CCC meetings, update issue card actions as needed
Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles (5S, Visual Management, Gemba Walks, Identify & Sustain waste elimination (defects, overproduction, waiting, Non utilized talent, transportation, Inventory, Motion, Excessive processing) )
Participate in and/or lead Kaizen Events
Drive Quick Kaizen projects to closure and track site progress
Provide direct support within your functional area of expertise (ie. Assembly, Operator, Technician, Inspection, Material Handler)
Requirements/Knowledge:
Education Required :
High School Diploma or GED
Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Experience
- 3-5 years of electronics manufacturing experience
Skill Level Required :
Skills required in maintaining close tolerances, complex disassembly and re-assembly using tools & gages, advanced operation sheets and drawings; Intermediate computer skills; Good level of knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination
Desired Qualifications:
Education
Assoc Degree in Operations Mgmt or related field
Work Experience
Past experience in an electronics manufacturing environment; Past experience in a self-directed teaming environment; Prior Lean training or experience: Proven ability to problem solve; Experience in 3 or more operations / tasks within work Cell; IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 Certifications &/or IPC-7711 Certification;
Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills; Intermediate Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Powerpoint and /or web-based systems; Demonstrated ability in receiving guidance and supervision, following work rules, safety practices, work procedures; meeting deadlines; and punctuality and attendance standards.
